Installing the Mobile App

FastQuery has a mobile app for both iOS and Android so you can look up products, check inventory, and get answers right from the sales floor.

  • iPhone or iPad — Search for “FastQuery” in the App Store and tap Download.
  • Android — Search for “FastQuery” in Google Play and tap Install.

Open the app and sign in with the same account you use on the FastQuery website. Choose your sign-in provider (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, or Apple) and authenticate — no separate account needed.

During your first launch, the app will ask for a few permissions. These help you get the most out of FastQuery’s features:

  • Microphone — FastQuery supports voice-first interaction, so you can ask questions just by talking. The microphone permission makes this possible.
  • Camera — Used for scanning barcodes and taking photos of products. Handy when you need to quickly look something up or document an issue.
  • Notifications — Stay informed about important updates, sync alerts, and messages from your team.

We recommend granting all three permissions for the best experience, but the app will still work if you skip some.

After signing in, you’ll be asked to select your store location. This tells FastQuery which inventory and product data to show you. If you work at multiple locations, you can switch between them at any time.

One of FastQuery’s best features is voice-first interaction. Instead of typing, just:

  1. Press and hold the talk button.
  2. Ask your question out loud — for example, “Do we have half-inch copper fittings in stock?”
  3. Release the button and get your answer.

It’s fast, hands-free, and perfect for when you’re helping a customer on the floor.

  • Keep the app updated — new features and improvements are released regularly.
  • If voice input isn’t working, double-check that microphone permissions are enabled in your phone’s settings.
  • Use barcode scanning for the fastest way to look up a specific product.
