Voice Commands

Voice is the fastest way to use FastQuery on mobile. Instead of typing, just hold the button and talk — like asking a knowledgeable coworker for help.

  1. Open the Chat tab
  2. Hold the “Hold To Talk” button at the bottom of the screen
  3. Speak your question naturally
  4. Release the button to send

That’s it. The AI will process your question and respond in seconds.

You can ask about almost anything related to your store:

  • Inventory — “Do we have any 3/4 inch PVC elbows in stock?”
  • Product location — “Where are the lawn mower blades?”
  • Pricing — “How much is the DeWalt 20V drill?”
  • Tasks — “Create a task to restock the paint aisle”
  • Promotions — “What’s on sale this week?”

Don’t worry about using exact phrasing. The AI understands natural language, so just ask however feels comfortable.

  • Watch the audio level indicator on screen. Aim for the green zone to make sure your voice is being picked up well
  • Feel the haptic buzz — your phone vibrates when recording starts and stops, so you know it’s working
  • Edit before sending — After you release the button, the app shows your transcribed text. You can tap to edit it before sending if anything looks off
  • Noisy environment? Switch to typing by tapping the text input field instead

Voice is the default on mobile. Switch to typing when you’re in a noisy area or need to phrase something precisely.
